the Bay Area Public Agency Council
Build It Green is a non-profit
membership organization whose mission is to promote healthy, energy-
and resource-efficient building practices in California. As part of
our goal to accelerate the adoption of these practices, we organize
four regional Public Agency Councils in the state of California to help
facilitate the adoption of green building ordinances. Build It Green
also provides strategic assistance to local governments for developing,
promoting, and implementing their green building programs.
the Build It Green Public Agency Councils are a unique collaborative
effort of over 100 participating public agencies throughout
that meet quarterly to create consistent green building
guidelines, share information, and support each others programs and
initiatives. The four regional Councils include the Bay Area PAC, the
Sacramento Region PAC, the LA Basin PAC and the San Diego PAC.
Area Public Agency Council represents the 9-county San Francisco Bay
Area, as well as Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties. Build It Green's
BA-PAC meets quarterly at varying locations around the Bay Area to
accommodate participants from all regions.
Participation in the Bay Area PAC is not limited to Public Agency
representatives from the San Francisco Bay Area region, however,
presentations and updates given during the meetings are regionally
