Interested Community Members,
On Thursday, September 30, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. in the Palo Alto City Council Chambers (250 Hamilton Ave, 4 short blocks from University Av. Caltrain Station), the City will sponsor a presentation titled "Evolution of Bicycle Transportation: How to Build on Existing Infrastructure and Programs."
The session will be presented by Ian Moore of Alta Planning and Design, one of the premier pedestrian and bicycle planning firms in the country. Mr. Moore will discuss innovative bicycle programs in other cities and approaches Palo Alto might look into to take its highly regarded bicycle network to the next level.
Alta Planning and Design will be preparing the City's updated Pedestrian and Bicycle Transportation Plan, and the session will serve as a kick-off for that effort. Refreshments will be served in the City Hall lobby immediately following the presentation.
I hope you can join us and will pass the attached flyer around to other community members, schools, and organizations that might be interested. Please let me know if you have any questions.
