FW: Speaker Series - Planning for Sustainable Development
Mark Tues, Nov. 10, 4-6pm on your calender for the 'premier' speaker event on 'sustainable development' - this one on SB 375 (new law requiring regions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, primarily from vehicle emissions), featuring speakers from Joint Policy Committee and ABAG.
(I gotta tell ya, this should be interesting. Personally, I would call the presentation, "Palo Alto - meet the world outside your borders" (ok, I'll add Menlo and Atherton's borders too)
And ALPA and the Chamber of Commerce will feature Dan Zack for Nov. 5, Thurs, 8-9:30am, "Good Morning Palo Alto" event, for his interactive presentation on Delightful Density. Please register in advance.

Interested Palo Alto Community Members –
Attached is a flyer for an initial public forum regarding Planning for Sustainable Development, to be held on Tuesday, November 10, at 4:00 in the Council Chambers. The Department of Planning and Community Environment is sponsoring a series of informative presentations in conjunction with the City’s ongoing updates of the Comprehensive Plan and Housing Element. Staff expects to invite planning, transportation, urban design, economic and other professionals to present information that may help to provide context and ideas for the Comprehensive Plan and Housing Element discussions. The Council, boards and commissions and the public will be invited to these forums.
We hope you can make it on November 10th. If not, we will be taping the session so you may view it at a later date.
