Welcome to the Birding Hotline for interior Alaska as of February 6, 2013.
A NORTHERN SHRIKE was heard singing at the UAF Interior-Aleutians
Campus on Geist Road on February 5. Also on the 5th, another NORTHERN
SHRIKE was catching redpolls at a property off of Fairbanks Street
MERLINS have been reported hunting at bird feeders at both Gilmore Trail
and Abraham Roads in the past two weeks.
Upcoming events offered by Arctic Audubon include:
A photographic journey to the Cordova Shorebird Festival and birding along
the Denali Highway will be offered by Ron Teel and Jim Dewitt on February
11 at 7:00 PM at the Noel Wien Library.
