Subject: ATTENTION ALL BIRDERS IN ANCHORAGE

We need your help. Thursday afternoon, a Red-tailed Hawk escaped from
the Bird TLC Rehab Facility. The bird is a "Classic Eastern Red-tail" with a belly band, a red tail, and is light enough to show the Patagial Bands and the "Commas" on the underside of the wing.
The bird was last seen being mobbed by Magpies near 67th and Arctic.
It is likely to continue to be a target of Corvids which could make spotting it easier.
It has leather ankle straps which could possibly become tangled in a tree.
If you see this bird, please call the Bird Treatment and Learning Center at 562-4852, or call their cell at 351-8906 day or night. Thanks for your help. They'd love to get this bird back into its safe rehab environment. John Wenger Anchorage
