      Welcome to the Birding Hotline for interior Alaska as of February 17,
      2009.

      An unusual sighting for the Interior, a flock of 8 BLACK-BILLED
      MAGPIES were seen on Miller Hill Road behind Ivory Jack's
      restaurant on February 13.

      A DARK-EYED JUNCO was at the feeders at the Alaska Bird
      Observatory visitor center n February 10.

      Upcoming events include:
      Tuesday February 17: Frosty Feathers; Avian tales of Winter Survival.
      Join Dr. Susan Sharbaugh, Sr. Scientist at ABO in the Gold Room in
      The Westmark Hotel in downtown Fairbanks at 7pm in a lecture in
      the 'Science for Alaska Lecture Series' - sponsored by the University
      of Alaska and the Geophysical Institute
