Date: 29 September 2005
Species: Palm Warbler (Dendroica palmarum)
Lcation: No specific location on Gambell was given.
Contact: Thanks to Paul Lehman for providing information on this sighting.
History: A single Palm Warbler was videoed. Although there a few other

Daniel D. Gibson, Steve C. Heinl, and Thede G. Tobish. The checklist is
available on line at: http://www.uaf.edu/museum/bird/products/checklist.pdf
"Casual in fall in scattered locations throughout Alaska (Ketchikan, Mitkof
Is, Petersburg, Taku River, Juneau, Middleton Is, Ninilchik, Kodiak, Nunivak
Is, Dot Lake, Brooks Range, Prudhoe Bay, Barrow). Several recent records
are from Fairbanks and in the upper Tanana River Valley in fall". From A
Birder's Guide to Alaska by George C. West, 2002.
Special Considerations: Birding at Gambell requires careful logistical
planning. Consult ABA's A Birder's Guide to Alaska for details.
