      The 2008 Seward Christmas Bird Count tallied 62 species with three
      additional species for Count Week. Over 3750 individual birds were
      counted, with the biggest numbers for White-winged Crossbills (468),
      unidentified crossbills, probably white-winged (over 300),
      Glaucous-winged Gull (380), Mallard (295), and Barrow's Goldeneye (241).

      Ruby-crowned Kinglet (1)
      Pacific Loon (6)
      Yellow-billed Loon (6)
      Great Blue Heron (1)
      Merlin (2)
      Northern Shrike (2)
      Varied Thrush (1)
      Rusty Blackbird (15)

      Sharp-shinned Hawk
      Brown Creeper
      White-throated Sparrow
