The Steller's Eider was still at the mouth of Spring Creek with a
small flock of Harlequin Ducks at 11am today. They were briefly
"spooked off" by two surveyors posting stakes by the small jetty, but
the ducks came back to the same area. Thank you Tasha for the directions.

Also, seen were Raven, Black billed Magpie, Trumpeter Swan at Lower
Summit Lake, Bald Eagles, Horned Grebes, Surf Scoters, Red Breasted
Merganser, a Dipper in Spring Creek, Barrow's Goldeneye, Common
Goldeneye, Steller's Jay, Common Merganser, Pelagic Cormorant, Double
Crested Cormorant, Long Tailed Duck, Common Murre, Marbled Murrlet,
Pine Grosbeaks, and an ermine hunting the shoreline between Seward &
      Lowell Point.
