Group Description

** For members of the Association of Educational Therapists (AET) only**

The Association of Educational Therapists (AET) is the national professional organization dedicated to defining the professional practice of educational therapy, setting standards for ethical practice, and promoting state-of-the-art service delivery through on-going professional development and training programs. AET provides information to the public about educational therapy and facilitates access to educational therapy services.

Educational therapists provide intensive, individualized educational interventions for children and adults with learning disabilities and other learning challenges such as dyslexia, ADHD, language processing problems, poor motivation, low academic self-esteem, performance anxiety and poor social, organizational, and/or study skills. Clients may include students needing appropriate school placement or adults needing workplace support.

This list is for current AET members only – parents and others will not be approved for membership. When requesting membership please include your FULL NAME so that your AET membership can be verified. To learn more about Educational Therapy or the Association of Educational Therapists, please visit the AET website at www.aetonline.org.

We hope that you will join in on this AET membership benefit to build a strong community of Educational Therapists. Please keep the AET ethical guidelines in mind as you post and keep all identifying information about clients confidential. All points of view are welcome, but civility is both appreciated and expected. The group moderator will delete disrespectful posts and general rants. We reserve the right to unsubscribe members whose AET membership is not current.

Please Note: Posts, discussions, and recommendations by individual members do not constitute endorsement by AET.
