Huaxia Chinese School 2012 Teachers Conference
-- Provided by Huaxia Chinese School at Great Valley President Dongmei WANG dwangabc@...
It is an honor to announce our 2012-2013 Huaxia Chinese School Teachers Conference will be held on November 17 and 18, 2012 at DoubleTree by Hilton Somerset Hotel and Conference Center
Established in 1995 as a non-profit organization, HXCS a dedicated to teaching Chinese language (Mandarin) and Chinese culture classes using simplified Chinese characters and Pin Yin (Chinese phonic system). Being the largest of its kind in the United States, the school consists of 20 branches, serving over 7,000 students in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut areas. For more information about HXCS, please visit our school web site at www.hxcs.org.
Last year, over 350 Huaxia Chinese School teachers, ivy league universities Chinese language directors and professors, and Chinese language teachers from public, private high schools, and other weekend Chinese schools attended the two-day conference. Attendees were from NJ, NY, MA, DE, NC, PA, CA, CO, etc. states. It was a huge success. We conducted a survey at scene - 95% positive responses with great suggestions! With your participation, along with other Chinese education experts, education government officials, enthusiastic individuals like you, and volunteers from both US and China, the conference this year will be another great success!
Continued from last year, this year’s two-day program will consist of around 40 presentations in plenary and breakout sessions, including a wide range of discussion topics from Huaxia teachers sharing their hands-on experiences to renowned education experts discussing their studies on education, culture, philosophy, and from HSK to SAT, AP tests. Distinguished contributors from Huaxia branches will be honored. In addition, there will be ample networking opportunities to connect with your colleagues and friends throughout the conference. Last but not least there will be an appreciation entertainment and social event Saturday evening.
It is our sincere hope that you will find this year's conference informative, interesting, practical, and fun. We look forward to meeting you at the event.
