      Tansa Systems, LLC, a leading provider of proofing software and services to professional publishers, is seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused team player to provide dictionary services and text proofing system support to our English-language clients. We are looking for someone with a talent for copy editing, an interest in linguistics and a desire to work with software and systems.

      The responsibilities of the Implementation & Support Specialist will include the following:
      Installation and training on new implementations of Tansa Solutions
      Troubleshooting customer support issues
      Working directly with customers to ensure that our dictionaries satisfy their proofing requirements
      Working with our language editors in Norway to provide ongoing customization and support
      Testing new software releases
      Creating and updating support documentation
      Editing marketing materials and other collateral

      Basic Qualifications
      Bachelor’s degree and at least two (2) years experience in editorial community or environment
      Experience in printed publications such as magazine or newspaper production, companywide publication, etc.
      Experience with AP style of writing and editing
      Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
      Experience communicating both verbally (on phone, one-on-one, to groups) and in writing (emails, letters, reports, presentations)
      Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives)

      Preferred Qualifications:
      Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism or English
      Experience using various versions of the Windows and Mac OSX operating systems
      Experience using Client/Server-based systems
      Experience using remote desktop and VPN solutions

      Desktop publishing applications:
      Microsoft Word
      Adobe InDesign and InCopy
      QuarkXpress and CopyDesk
      Web-based text editors


      Miscellaneous:
      Excellent customer service skills
      Ability to travel (up to 50 percent of the time), including international travel
      Ability to work evenings and weekends when required
