- The Journal Star is seeking a designer with strong visual skills who is capable of working in a fast-paced environment with numerous deadlines. While this is primarily a design position, the ideal candidate must also have good word skills and be able to write and rewrite accurate headlines and other content. A minimum of one to two years of daily newspaper design experience is preferred. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite CS5 (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat) is strongly desired. The designer will produce pages for news, feature and sport sections. Evening and weekend hours required. Interested candidates should apply by Dec. 24.
