      Program Manager-Humanities The Curriculum Services Program Manager – Humanities reports to the Director of Curriculum Development and is responsible for creating a cohesive vision for FLVS Humanities products and then executing that vision through the definition and development of the FLVS Humanities product line. The Program Manager establishes contacts with FLDOE curriculum personnel and is the primary contact for the Humanities subject areas for subject area and standards information. This person works closely with the comparable Product Manager in Marketing to identify customer requirements, deliver feature and requirement specifications, support efficacy studies on specific products, evolve the product strategy and work closely with the development and instruction teams to deliver curriculum solutions and use his/ her knowledge to confidently drive the product in a customer centric way. The Program Manager meets with vendors who offer products and services that can positively impact Humanities courses, schedules demonstrations, evaluates competitive offerings, and educates the Curriculum Services team on new technologies and products. The Program Manager attends and presents at industry conferences and workshops and conducts presentations for FLVS personnel related to industry vision and product ideas.

      For consideration for this position, candidates must meet all of the job requirements as listed below: • Bachelor's degree with a minimum 5-8 years of experience in the Information and/or Educational Technology field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Three years or more of curriculum experience in the area of K-12 Humanities. • Three years or more of project management experience requested. • Documented project management experience. • Previous experience working with DOE or District Level leadership committees and work groups.

      Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

      • Establishes and executes the strategic vision for Humanities offerings.

      • Provides knowledge and training related to FLDOE and Common Core standards as they relate to Humanities offerings. • Identifies and tracks competitive offerings and provides direction to Curriculum Development to achieve and maintain industry leadership role.

      Works with marketing to understand and document customer requirements, test product and innovative ideas with representative customer groups. Represents FLVS to the industry at large. Assists the Director with special projects as required. Facilitates communication, provides guidance and problem solving assistance on issues brought forward from other cross teams at FLVS regarding curriculum projects and products to promote quick resolution. Contacts and understands vendor services and products (including instructional materials) and the benefit they can have on the FLVS offering. Working with the procurement department, develops Requests for Proposals (RFP) for external services. Negotiates contracts with vendors as required for departmental operations and/or educational resources for developed applications (including client pricing when applicable). Collaborates with the Professional Learning team to assist with the successful planning, development, and delivery of professional development activities related to overall development projects, as measured by training evaluations. Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrating respect for others. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by his/her supervisor.
