Temporary full-time editor, U.S. News & World Report, Washington
- View SourceThe Education section at U.S.News & World Report seeks a motivated online editor to help direct its Education coverage on a short-term basis (6 months). The editor's primary focus is to work with reporters and Web producers to plan, assign, edit, and execute stories, research and data projects (including the Best Graduate Schools rankings), and multimedia reports for the Education channel of usnews.com.
The ideal candidate has several years of experience editing and developing content in an online environment. Candidate must have the ability to juggle many responsibilities in a busy environment, and have some experience in developing and maintaining relationships with key portals, websites, and other potential partners. Knowledge of content management systems and a basic understanding of SEO and web analytics is a must.
Familiarity with education, particularly higher education, is a plus.
The position is based in our Washington, D.C., offices.
