Nature Publishing Group seeks a copy editor for a combined position working on Nature and the Nature Research Journals, handling copy written by our award-wining team of journalists as well as by academic authors. You will need to be comfortable dealing with anything from general science news to sophisticated primary research. You will also need excellent time-management skills to balance the rapid turnaround of a news environment with the varied demands of journal production.
You MUST have a BA or MS and preferably laboratory experience in science (biology preferred), excellent literary and word-processing skills, and experience copy editing a science-related magazine or journal. The ability to use InDesign and InCopy is desirable but not essential. Full-time position with competitive salary and benefits, located in New York City.
