I am so happy with the way things have been going lately at CreativePro! Each week starts with cutting edge topics and freebies from Pariah Burke, and ends with a batch of cool retro goodies from Gene Gable. In between, we have awesome Illustrator WOW tutorials from Sharon Steuer and crew, in-depth typography features from Jim Felici and Ilene Strizver, and excerpts from the best InDesign resource anywhere, InDesign Magazine (OK, I'm biased). What a line-up. There's just one thing missing...you!
I know for a fact that you folks reading this have a lot to share when it comes to creative topics and techniques. Well, how'd you like to share some of your talents and ideas with the CreativePro community and get yourself a byline? Got a few killer Photoshop tips? Bring 'em on! Want to write a round-up of your Top Ten apps for designers? I'm all ears. Anything that would be of interest and use to creative pros is fair game. If you're interested in submitting your content to be published on CreativePro, just email me: mike@... and make your pitch. Who knows? YOU could be the next rising star!
While you're contemplating your pitch, check out this week's feature articles including a new TypeTalk by Ilene Strizver, with some truly inspiring uses for pattern fonts. Pariah Burke was back with a second set of Designer Tattoos. And Gene Gable bid adieu to his collection of pasteup books , but not before sharing one last look at that byegone era of graphic arts production.
And this week we also had tons of great news items, including a Creative Cloud update that allows subscribers to publish as many iPad apps as they like at no extra charge. Other stories included hints of Apple making rivals to Photoshop and Illustrator, eBay's new logo, rent-a-font services, freebies, infographics, and lots more. Scroll down for the full list of news.

A font can be used to display more just than letters, numbers, and punctuation. Pattern fonts consist of decorative elements which can be used to create seamless patterns for a wide range of purposes.

Creative pros are known for their passion for their work and the tools of their trade. So it should come as no surprise that some of them choose to apply their creativity to the most personal of all media, themselves.

It's finally time to say goodbye to my books on graphic arts pasteup. Another production era hits the garbage can.
