Group Description

The AAII Silicon Valley Computerized Investing-Mechanical Investing Group discusses ideas on how to use computers in investing. The group has a definite mechanical investing flavor, focusing on rules, algorithms, programs, and computerized investing tools of various flavors.

Meeting Location:
Our primary location is at Holders Country Inn in Cupertino/San Jose. Directions are at: http://holderscountryinn.com/locations/998-s-deanza-blvd/

Our alternate location, when needed, is at the Campbell Library. Directions are at http://www.sccl.org/locations/hours-and-locations/campbell/getting-there/directions.

Meeting times: We meet the first Thursday of every month at Holder's Country Inn. Dinner orders start at 6:00 PM, the meeting starts at 6:30. We ask you to buy dinner/meal/snack since we are not charged directly for the room.

The following meeting dates have been scheduled:
- February 1st, 6-9 PM, Holder's Country Inn. 6 PM Dinner, 6:30 Meeting
- March 1st, 6 -- 9 PM. Holder's Country Inn. 6 PM Dinner, 6:30 Meeting

Typical Meeting Topics and Agenda include:
- Introduction, General Administrative Items
- Updates on discussions/postings since the last meeting
- Presentation(s) focusing on one or more of the following topics:
--- Recent topics from AAII (e.g., from the AAII Journal, Computerized Investing, SI Pro, etc.)
--- Stock, ETF Strategy review, back test results
--- New Timing and Stock Strategy Simulation Results
- Market, Asset Class and Timing System Review (time permitting)

We look for members to share their research and results with other members.

Handouts: We do not provide handouts at the meeting (we strive to be totally digital/on-line). Presentations are posted at a Dropbox location found in the links section of this group.
