School Disco '80s revival comes to Clapham Common
Eighties revival clubbing outfit SchoolDisco.com are holding a massive
outdoor event in London in the summer.
SchoolFields will take place on Clapham Common on July 13.
The event will have a capacity of 30,000, and features '80s artists such as
The Human League, ABC and Modern Romance.
Kajagoogoo frontman Limahl will also be appearing, while the event will be
hosted by Madness singer Suggs.
SchoolFields will run from midday until 11pm, with other guests including
Geoffrey, George, Zippy and Bungle from Rainbow, as well as Sooty and Sweep.

The SchoolDisco.com nights have been a huge hit around the UK, with 20 and
30-something clubbers dusting down their school uniforms for nostalgic club
nights in London, Dublin and Manchester.
Spin-off CD compilations featuring hits from the '80s and tracks such as the
theme from Grange Hill have also proved popular.
A spokeswoman said: "The thing about School Disco is that it has led to the
return of unpretentious clubbing - no one is trying to outdo others with
their outfits, it's just fun."
SchoolDisco.com was launched by DJ Bobby Sanchez in a small restaurant in
London in September 1999. He said: "It all started when I got fired from a
top London club for playing the Shakin' Stevens hit This 'Ole House."
