yes, it is called the law of supply and demand.

it is a concept the socialist cannot grasp.

if it takes you 5 million to build a building, land, permits, factory, machines and such, then make CD's that cost you about 11 cents in materials, but sell them for 11 dollars, the socialists think you are evil and stealing other peoples money.

the other part of the equation is that of production.
if you can buy a machine for 1 million that will do the work of 3 workers..... $33,000 per year in payroll, $2,000 in SS tax, $1,000 in unemployment, $5,000 in health care, costs for the accountant to do payroll and W2's, pension, lights, heat...
      second shift is the same

so in 5 years, your machine can make the exact same part day in and day out.

another machine to package and label and you have an almost automated factory. just a few employees.

then you hire illegals to mow the lawn because the gov't makes sure there are plenty of illegals around to do that work.

When enough purchases go up on an item so will the Price. I use to buy Tasters Choice Instant Coffee at a good price. If you go and buy it now, it's as high as the other Named Brands. OLN use to my favorite sports channel. Then after a couple of years they took it off my TY package and put it in a higher priced package.

When I was in college many years ago, the mechanical engineering class had a field trip to a local pizza factory. The whole factory made just frozen pizza in about 4 varieties.

The loading dock had a couple guys receiving bulk ingredients and loading out frozen pizzas for delivery to stores.

A couple people loaded the ingredients into bins. 1 maintenence guy, 1 accountant, 1 supervisor.

        Everything else was automated.

It cost $0.23 per pizza to make. Price tags were mostly $3.99 each.

Prices are higher now but only because of the gov't skimming.

Yup! There s more jaw surface area gripping the work with roughly the same total force as a 3 jaw chuck. Roy
