    Etched brass bicycles can be beefed up considerably by soldering two together. Obviously you need to be a bit clever with fold round bits like handlebars -

      Etched brass bicycles can be beefed up considerably by soldering two
      together. Obviously you need to be a bit clever with fold round bits
      like handlebars - either cut one off, or, better, replace both with
      suitable hard brass wire bent to shape and soldered into a notch cut
      into the frame. With some judicious filing of the double thickness
      etched frame a very realistic bike can be produced. Many (all?) of
      the etched kits offer multiple bikes in the basic kit so doubling
      them up like this doesn't necessarily even cost more.

        a "ladies" - made up from a new etched-brass kit produced in 1:43.5 scale by Patrice
        Roussiale (rpi Sesame Rail). Unfortunately it does not give any price or further details and rpi
        does not seem to have a website. The bikes, nice "traditional" models, look first class in the
        photos and even have spokes!
