- Yes, the buffing plate is 8mm across, the body of the coupling though, is only 4.5mm. Once installed and painted, they are pretty difficult to see, between 2 wagons coupled together, they are almost invisible.
Put them next to a Kadee No5 and it really brings home how small they are.

I see on http://www.modelsignals.com that both 4mm and 7mm couplings
are 8mm wide. Even in On30 that seems a fairly wide coupling - it's
almost half the gauge (indeed, wider than half the prototype's gauge
of 2'). I think I might have to modify my drawings so they have a DG
attached so I can try and visualize their appearance.
