A memorial to Polish war veterans who died in a Herefordshire village
is to be put up in a churchyard.

The lives of 50 Polish World War II survivors will be remembered with
a stone memorial following a fundraising campaign by villagers in
      Credenhill.

The veterans, who were unable to return to Poland after the war, lived
at a rehabilitation home in the village.

The memorial will replace wooden crosses marking their graves which
      are rotting in Credenhill churchyard.
