In 1918, Kogbetliantz introduced a 3D Chess piece called the 'Space-
Knight'. This piece made either an orthogonal+diagonal,
      orthogonal+triagonal or diagonal+triangonal leap. Basicly
incorporating all the leaps of the Knight, Hippogriff and Wyvern.

This is a very powerful piece and may not be practical in the 5x5x5
      field or smaller.

Kogbetliantz also called his Unicorn piece by the name 'Fool'. But
Maack still holds the claim of precedence.
