- Sorry if passing this to two lists at once is a rule breaker. If it is
please let me know! I have just seen discusion re: this
subject on both lists.
CHICAGO (AP) As if potential Year 2000 computer problems ar nto
enough, stormy weather predicted for teh sun
early next year also could torment Earth's modern technology. That
could mean celebrating the new millennium in the
dark, with dead cellular phones. Ships and planes relying on satellites
for navigation might have trouble. Even
spacewalking astronauts are at risk. Researchers, using new
techniqures, are forecasting the sun is going to enter the
most violent and disruptive part of its 11 year cycle. The worst is
expected to begin in January, when computers around
teh world struggle to cope with possible problems casued by teh Y2K bug.
Interesting that all the talk we have seen on the net is now being told
to the public. I believe the acutal reprocusions will
fall someplace in the middle.
Also, last night on the news I saw a blurb re: a video tape of UFO's
someplace. It was announced as being the next
story, and tada, of course I fell asleep. Did anyone see this coverage?
