1987 Glamour

"A diamond necklace that used to belong to Christina Onassis, daughter of Greek tycoon Aristotle Onassis, sold at auction on Wednesday for $7.1 million. The necklace, with a 38-carat pear-shaped diamond, was the highlight of the Onassis jewelery auction at Christie's in London. It was displayed by a model as a fierce bidding war broke out."

"Born in Dunfermline, Fife, in 1926, her full name was Moira Shearer King. Her first dancing lessons were received in Northern Rhodesia, where the family had temporarily moved during her childhood, but her main professional training was in London, first with Flora Fairbairn and then at the Legat and Sadler’s Wells schools."

"In 2001, Phillips signed with Nonesuch Records and released a stripped-down acoustic album called Fan Dance, which featured some of the most critically acclaimed songwriting of Phillips's career. Van Dyke Parks contributed string arrangements for a track or two. Phillips also began writing music for and scoring the television series Gilmore Girls, and even appeared on screen during the final episode of season six, performing "Taking Pictures" from the Fan Dance album."

"One of the essential notes Jane Wildgoose, the costume designer for HELLRAISER, brought from her first meeting with Barker was "repulsive glamour." And her designs capture the phrase to near perfection. The four cenobites are unforgettable in both their tortured flesh and their disfigured beauty."
