Here's a nice overview of a 14-game FPW campaign that a gaming group in New York played. It took them just over a year at about one game a month. Vincent

Group Description

A Yahoo Group dedicated to the discussion of the Franco-Prussian War (1870 - 71), but with a miniature wargaming bent. While the war itself is the main topic of conversation, but also eligible for discussion are the great armies of Europe, the generals, uniforms, weapons, tactics and so on.

And while primarily concerned with historical miniature gaming of the period, particularly Bruce Weigle's immensely popular 1870 rules, other miniature rules, computer games or board games, are perfectly legitimate for discussion as well. Need to get a rule interpretation for Quantum's They Died for Glory? This is the place to ask. Need a good OB (Order of Battle) for French Republican armies? We have the answer.

Indeed, Google books and the availability of online, digitized research resources has been a topic of recent discussion, so if you have anything to share in that regard, please enlist today! Likewise photos of recent games you might have are always a welcome addition, as are the battle reports that go along with them.

Otherwise, welcome, please contribute and enjoy your stay.
