I did a Google on " free online+middle school+poetry" you could play w/ this the way one would think of how an advertisement might read in a catalogue or website. Think headlines and then put ;luses inbetween, keep as short as possible and then add a word at a time and look around each time.
here's what I found and clicked on and am sending. Don't know how much of the classics this contains..probably need to search a bit more...
HEY here's an idea try a search on "classical poetry for middle school" (worry about chronological later if that's important) plus you could look in the
Book Shelf for Kids...that's the kind of thing those sets are good/great for!
I would love a good poetry curriculum for 5 - 7th grade level. Websites that teach the different type of poerty with examples and sites for studying and recognizing good, classic poetry and poets.>>
