I am glad you asked. I sent that notice because so many people (including me) are off island for the annular eclipse, but there will be a partial eclipse to be seen from the Big Island on May 20. According to Sky Safari Pro you should be able to see it (with eye protection ) from 2:20 to 4:20pm. The Moon will just skim the right side of the Sun. I hadn't realized that.

With any old solar telescope or proper solar viewing glasses you should be able to see this. It won't be "crazy" spectaular since we will only get like 5%-7% (south point upolu point respectively) coverage on the sun.
