CVS "SOUTH" DATE CHANGE
Cochituate is apparently attractive to major banks and corporations. The Planning Board will have an advisory site plan review on Nov. 18 at 8:20 p.m. on a proposal from TD Bank to locate at the site of Cochituate Motors at 57 Main Street (corner
of Routes 30 and 27).
The date has changed for the review on the proposed CVS store at the current site of Morns, Dunkin' Donuts, Wayland Wellness and Grape Ideas. It will be Dec. 2, 8 p.m. instead of Nov. 18.
The public hearing for this same proposed CVS will begin at the Zoning Board of Appeals on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 9 p.m.
The ZBA public hearing for the proposed 56-unit 40B housing project at the former Kathryn Barton Nursing Home on Route 30 continues on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 8:10 p.m.
So what's happening with the Town Center project? A hearing at the Conservation Commission continues on Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. At last week's ConCom meeting, the commission's consultants reported finding more than 100 possible compliance
deficiencies in the developer's applications. In some cases, the developer seeks waivers.
Twenty Wayland's project manager acknowledged that applications are incomplete while waiting for a floodplain study.
You should have received an impact notice from the assessors telling you the proposed Fiscal 2009 total value of your property. The assessors apparently decided to proceed without having received preliminary certification of these values from the
state Department of Revenue.
Call Vision Appraisal at 1-888-844-4300 to arrange a meeting if you think this value is wrong. The meetings will occur between Nov. 20 and Dec. 4. This is the only chance to correct such things as revaluation of your land and/or your home
before the data is finalized. After that, one must file an abatement appeal.
Visit the Vision web site, at HYPERLINK "http://data.visionappraisal.com/WaylandMA" http://data.visionappraisal.com/WaylandMA
to learn the value of your house and land. As of now, the "current data" is the same as 2009; hopefully the 2008
data can be displayed so residents can see the true impact of the changes.
The Board of Assessors' agenda indicates public comment at its Monday, Nov. 17 meeting from 5:30 p.m. to 5:35 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 17, 7 p.m., Large Hearing Room, Town Building. Fall School Committee forum on the Fiscal 2010 budget and other matters.
