I am familiar with Everquest which requires you to
play online all the time. Let me know your thoughts
on Never if you have some free time

passed right before Christmas, so I should have more time to catch up

I would rate NeverWinter Nights a solid 9 out of 10 on the RPG
Scale. Eversmack would be ranked the highest.
Advantages to NWN: You can make your own modules, you can choose to
play with a DM or not, there are PLENTY of downloadable ones
currently available, You can play online multiplayer or solo, and its
a solid game.
Disadvantages: You are capped at level 20, its not as action oriented
as Diablo II but still plays well (since its geared slightly more
RPG), the henchman system isn't as good as D2 (although it has been
upgraded with a one of the latest patches), and although the graphics
are not as good as Dungeon Siege it is a much deeper game with Great
BottomLine: If you like D2, any of the Baldur's Gate series, or RPGs
then I recommend getting it. Besides they are planning an expansion
pack set for release in Spring or Summer of 2003, which should make
things even better.
Most Popular Modules for NWN:
