Should Your Pets Go Vegan?
National Day is upon us this month and many of us are feeling patriotic with solidarity across race, religion, and even dietary preference. Perhaps it is at such a time of unity that we can encourage everyone to think about reducing meat consumption for the benefit of the land and the sentient beings on it other than us.

A recent case of a kitten becoming malnourished due to being placed on a vegan diet has sparked much debate on whether it is right to impose our philosophy on our pets. One article proposes that it is not the meat (or lack of) that is the issue but the concept and understanding that a balanced diet complete with all the nutritional needs accounted for, that matters. You can read the full article at http://ofcoursevegan.com/2013/07/25/
If you have a story to share (negative or positive) on how a pet was affected on a vegan diet, please share it with the editor at ganga@... so that all of us can benefit from our shared body of knowledge.
