Aromatherapy is becoming more familiar. However, how much do we truly know about this alternative therapy? In VSS’ June Wellness Seminar, Pauline Chau will educate us on theoretical and practical aspects of aromatherapy. This joint seminar with MyOrangeTrees.com and Living Space looks at:

What is aromatherapy?
Essential oil safety
Methods of application
Quantities and dilution
Types of essential oils
Case studies on Sinusitis, Premenstrual tension (PMS) and Insomnia
About the Speaker
Pauline Chau, UK ITEC certified therapist, has gone through a series of theory and practical trainings at Diploma level on aromatherapy, reflexology and sports massage therapy. She has years of experience practicing aromatherapy and massage treatments in the chiropractic and spa industries. She has conducted numerous aromatherapy appreciation workshops on private and group bases. Her objective for this workshop is to share knowledge and experience on how to apply essential oils for physical, emotional and mental purposes. Pauline is a believer in a holistic approach to improve and balance one’s well-being through proper diet and adequate exercise.

Bright Hill Temple, 88 Bright Hill Road (MRT = Bishan) is offering a third 8-week course on vegetarian cooking. This time the course will be led by Oh Chong Fah, who has done many courses and demos for VSS. The course meets every Sunday from 4pm-6pm at the 2nd floor of Ven Hong Choon Memorial Hall, beginning Sun, 25 June. Cost is $50/pax per course. For more information: 6849.5332. The class is taught mainly in Mandarin, but with enough English so that in the past English speakers have happily taken part.
