We are having a special session in universal algebra and lattice theory
as part of the AMS sectional meeting at the University of Hawaii,
Saturday and Sunday March 3 and 4, 2012. Those who have indicated a 95%
(or higher) probability of attending include, Brian Davey, Peter Jipsen,
George McNulty, Ralph McKenzie, Walter Taylor, and Ross Willard. If you
would like to contribute a talk to the special session, the deadline
for abstracts (which are required) is Nov 22.
Unfortunately neither the AMS nor UH has funds for participants. But if
you can get away at that time and would like to have some time in Hawaii,
we would love to have you. And, of course, you are welcome to stay around
before or after (or both). We have an active seminar in universal algebra
and lattice theory and we would be glad to have you participate.
The special sessions have 6 hours each day divided into 1/2 hour slots for
talks (20 minutes for the talk plus 5 minutes for questions and 5 minutes

By the way this meeting has over 20 special sessions in various areas
such as logic and computation, coding theory, combinatorics.
