Dear Lisa, I am so sorry to hear about
Hershey. I can so identify with a pet being a best friend, Simba was like
that for me. Good that in the end you were able to be with him as he died
and he had your loving presence there. I also held Simba as she died,
wanted her to feel my loving touch.
Thanks for your love and prayers.
Re your 4th step, yes it will pass, or it has for
me anyway, the past doesn't hold the same power over me that it did in earlier
recovery. Something that helped me when it was so very difficult to write
my 4th steps was to set a period of time every day that was manageable for me,
and for me that was 15 minutes, write for just that time then surrender it to HP
and do something nourishing for myself and practice being mindful. I wish
you all the best with it, hard to go back onto that pain, but good for you for
With love in fellowship, Sylvia.

I wish you the best, I know the pain you are feeling.
A few years ago I had to put my cat Hershey down.. OMG It was like I lost my
best friend. He had a blocked bladder every time the Vet unblocked him he
blocked right back up again. The surgery was going to be like $600. I had a
choice get the cat surgery, when the vet
couldn't guarantee he would survive, that the surgery
would work and be complication free, or pay rent. Needless to say
had to pay rent. I had him ever since he was a kitten. He was my baby. You are
and will be in my prayers and so will your fir baby.
