Below are a couple verses from Bear’s Prayers that I speak out loud on a regular basis:
4 I take all of the cities; there is not a city which I do not take from them. The cities I have taken were fortified with high and haughty walls, gates, and bars, besides a great many unwalled villages. 6 I utterly destroy them, as my ancestors did to Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying every city—men, women, and children. 7 But all the cattle and the spoil of the cities I take for booty for myself.
21 I read in the scriptures what Jahuwah my Mighty Creator has done to kings Sihon and Og; so shall Jahuwah do to all the kingdoms into which I am going to possess. I do not fear them, for Jahuwah my Mighty Creator fights for me. Jahuwah You have only begun to show me Your greatness and Your mighty hand; for what mighty one is there in heaven or on earth that can do according to Your works and according to Your might?
I see in Genesis 4:12 Jahuwah pronounces the sentence upon Cain for having killed Abel, “…you shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth [in perpetual exile, a degraded outcast].” After Cain receives the sentence of wandering for having killed Abel, in Genesis 4:17 we see that Cain the rebellious one, “…built a city...” I learned from reading outside what is commonly known as the Scriptures that these cities had walls. Jahuwah spoke to me about these walls saying that the people in the city were told that the walls would keep them safe but that the real reason for the walls was to confine the people. He explained that laws made by man today serve the same purpose. Men are told that the laws are to keep them safe, but again, the real reason for the laws is to confine and control the people. In Revelation 13:4 most of the people’s response to this system set up by the rebellious ones is described, “They fell down and paid homage to the dragon, because he had bestowed on the beast all his dominion and authority; they also praised and worshiped the beast, exclaiming, Who is a match for the beast, and, Who can make war against him?” To my way of thinking, this is just another version of, ‘You cannot fight city hall.’ By speaking the Scriptures above it becomes real to me that Jahuwah is well able to cause me to take the land again the same way he did it for the Yisra’elites the first time. Sometimes I look around at a beautiful day and exclaim, “It is a great day for conquering a country!” and I really mean it. J
