Do not think so, you forget the nurgle rotts and (the slime trail),
which can be a real pain in the ass.
Just concentrate fire with the help of the Plaguecrushers and the ship
is rotting away, esp. when the crew is rotting.
Compared to the Plaguecrusher the Plagueship is a bit weak.
(Maybe you should use a Great Unclean One :-) )
The trick is, you have to combine several Chaos Ships.
Slaanesh Hellships are imminent dangerous and FAST, but easy to
sink, so they need protection, but if they are some rounds protected
at the flanks and proceed to collect (former) enemy crews they are
extremely tough. When a ship is hit by the Khorne Bloodship in attack,
it is almost certainly doomed (bording +6, if boarding is at all
necessary, after being hit by the hammer); although it also needs
protection at the flanks. My wife loves the Chaos Fleet and has
already three times sank a Dark Elf Black Ark with her Chaos ships,
two times predominantly Nurgle Ships.
But that is a good starting point for another thread:
There is only the Tzeentch Great Winged Terror, for which we had already a tactics
discusion. And then there is for a Tzeentch-only-Fleet the only other ship class available
the Chaos galley which in my opinion is the ship that sucks (too expensive, most of
them sunk before Chaos Reward can be useful applied; and such cards are a waste on
cannonfodder ships like the Chaos galley.
The fleet lacks something in the middle (Plaguecrushers) or funny cannonfodder like
Hellrammer or Ironsharks (which can be useful if deployed at the right place at the right
Anyone ever had thought about something filling this gap?
