+ good for you. :) It did to me, hence my reply and my quip at the end
of the reply. Sandi is known to me from way back, and I am more than
used to her inflammatory way of writing. I think I phrased my reply
concurrently with your moderating style, no?
perhaps the writing of
> Liber Al was a botched job. the Beast could hardly hold
> up within the transmission, after all. he missed the
> 93rd day of the year by about a week. there are several

+ Sorry, unsure what the 93rd day of the year has to do with anything,
perhaps you could explain? Is that an OTO thingy? The writing of Liber
31 is exactly what it is. The editing of Liber 220 is exactly what it
is. Neither are "fouled up hopelessly," though one could say that
Liber 31 is "makeshift" as the Prophet did have difficulties with the
transmission, as you say. However, I'd need to know what exactly you
mean by botched. Would you like to elucidate what problems you see
with Liber Al (either version).
> # Try telling a Muslim that there are passages in the

++I did not. Fascinating
> # or that the Koran is "strangely, inappropriately
> # paragraphed" and see what happens.
> and thus the recommendation for the "method of

++Did I not answer using the parameters for a paragraph commonly
accepted in English language? Sandi's parameters were insulting to me.
The ignorance that a paragraph should first be weighed on length
rather than content I found insulting and I thought I used the "method
of science" to explain this, using rules commonly accepted.
However, I am known too for an alternative POV when it comes to the
editing of Liber 31, so I even volunteered an example. I have no
problem with the re-editing of Liber 31, the result will of course not
be Liber 220, but I have no problem with "the stops as thou wilt."
Ah-me, if only I had the cash to publish the Holograph of the MS with
my own edited version, but alas I do not, and neither will I bend on
my knee and ask the OTO to do so! It seems a little odd that I have to
ask the University that owns the holograph AND the OTO for permission.
> # A little respect for Liber Al, please.
> it gets too much respect already, given what it is.

+ Personally I think it doesn't get enough respect, there are too many
who follow it with out working with it. The book wasn't conceived and
"bam" the world changed.
> jots and tittles mussed with in that text!
+ How does a tittle make Liber Al untidy. Perhaps there is one who
will find such a little jot pure perfection.
> god isn't named right!
+ LMAO, what Nuit? As in, "Had! The manifestation of Nuit" would make
Nuit the 2nd god, no? I find Nuit and its Frenchism quite appropriate.
You'll need to be a bit more specific with what you mean here by "2nd
god" (you old inflamer, you).
the Scribe botched the job!!
+ "Makeshift" or "fouled up hopelessly" If the first, I agree. If the
second I disagree.
> we need *more* criticism, not less.
+ Totally agreed, did I say we could not critic the editing of Liber
Al? I though what I replied was that Sandi's ideas as to how we edit a
paragraph was puerile.
> # Some of us do consider it a Holy Book.
> have at it. just don't expect the rest of us to
> follow suit or be faced with your imperial wrath.
+ Nor will I. 333, you have experienced several African-American
Religions, no? HOw do the Babas or Tatas react when someone simply
throws an inconsequential idea around about their beliefs? It was I
who was faced, and I who did not sit by. Perhaps you should reply to
my original reply to Sandi if you feel there was something wrong with
what I said?
[p.s. I hope the fires are staying away from your abode. We're getting
pretty smoked out here in the Santa Cruz mountains]
[moderator OT note: yes, the closest the fires are ranging is into the Mendocino and Lake County zone to my knowledge; we are catching smoke.]
