Crowley also advocated hedonistic excess to the point of annihilation
of the body and mind, using drugs, sex and other physically unhealthy
risk taking as a valid means of initiation. he even referred to the
scars of syphillis and herpes as 'battle scars' to be worn proudly.
Also the aforementioned method is advocated fully in the Holy Books,
in Liber Cheth in particular.
