I find myself in great agreement here. I've always marvled at thelemites who
go around saying they don't need to do the LBRP because they do the star
ruby instead. It seems they latch onto the superficial resemblances of the
ritual and fail to notice that the magical formulae emplyed are totally
different and have totally different effects. I am a stickler for the LBRP,
considering it one of the most amazing rituals ever devised, and I practice
it at least once daily. The Star Ruby however is something I perform, but
rarely and only in specific cases where the NOX formula would be applicable.
