What does "imo" stand for?
I still havn't got my copy of MWT back yet, so I
can't quote directly. I remember that one of the
letters was about the tyranny of the family unit.
Crowley advocated breaking all familial bonds - not
cutting off contact or anything, but not letting the
family culture dominate you. In my understanding the
H.G.A./True Will should be "re-imprinted" or
recognized as the true father, and the Great Sea of
the Universe as the true mother (Hokma and Binah, or
CHAOS and BABALON).
I found it very difficult, and it wasn't untill
I was in my mid-twenties that I finally stoped
freaking out or feeling guilty because I wasn't living
the life my parents wanted me to live. Now, they
have no power over me, as I realize they are not my
"true" parents. I still love them, but have
trancended the illusion of their moral/spiritual
