50040429 om VII I'm slowly catching up. sorry for the delay.
#> Right! The Book of the Law is dead, long live The Book of Desolation!
#> But after all, believing Amado would just mean substituting one Prophet for
so if a Book is 'alive' this means there are countless Thelemite slaves
swearing fealty to its content and authors/transmitters, stating abjectly
that they "accept" the thing? visions of Star Wars. interesting vision.
# It is really kind of strange to think that "Thelema" needs a prophet
as part of the Religions of the Book, this *is* traditional. heh, the
last cult that tried it even tried installed a Final Prophet (rasul)
status to keep the meme-production from continuing beyond it. the
damn thing just grew heads and sprouted up in other places.
# or that anyone could think that "Crowleyanity" is anything more than
# a broken monkey-god mask, and not a very good one at that.
the whole 'good/bad' moral measurement device is broken, you see, with
the discarding of the Aeonic Metric Equipment. now we can't tell if
"good" is Bad or "bad" is Good. the Master Therion was a Bad Boy, but this
makes him a Good Guy to listen to, since all the Bad Guys established
the Old Aeon institutions and establishments. not many understand these
things, and they can hardly be expected to, as the Aeon changes over.
plus most of it is fabrication to make people feel better about themselves.
# At least I claim to have seen better.
so you've got a line on improvements for the New Aeon. good for you.
# If it really is all about coming to know one's true Self,
that's the line. of course nobody established that such a Self(!) is
real or exists -- and they can't really be expected to, given that
its ontological status is questionable to say the least.
# and to ponder the mystery of one's own incarnation in all of
the whole idea of inhabiting meat-bodies ("incarnation") is ludicrous.
# then the idea of claiming someone else's spiritual heritage is really
# ridiculous. Isn't this the problem with religions like Christianity,
# Islam etc...?
it is *part* of them, in their echo, after Crowley's Plymouth Brethren.
# Why replace one artificial image with another and think that it is
# any more valid than anything else?
the religious believe these things *literally* O My Chosen!
# The best parts of Crowley's work resonate with a teaching that has
# been carried since way before Crowley as well as after. It is the
# idea of employing one's own imagery,
it wasn't Crowley's idea, even if he did employ it to his purpose.
# and process of synthesis from the information in the world around
# us rather than accepting the limitations of the status quo.
check out the Anabaptists, Quakers, and any number of Unitarians.
# Its about learning to program ourselves rather than being
# programmed by someone else. ..Timothy Leary said that, and
# he was right.
without harkening back to the past, we have nothing to present in
terms of connection to the masses, O My Chosen!
# Yet it is the worst of Crowley's (or Leary's or insert any name
# here) examples and teachings that are the easiest to grasp onto
# since they can be used to justify our own limitations.
fault someone for not picking and choosing what they like and when
they do, it just happens to be some portion of the Enslavement-Program.
make up your mind. if people want to program themselves to be Slaves,
why are you upset with them for so doing? that it is not 'Thelemic'
is debatable (what if it is their (true!) will to be enslaved?).
the problem is that self-programming is self-debilitative given the
general product of human cultural indoctrination. wilthout some kind
of liberative initiation, the Slaves shall serve even if you hand
them the keys to their own control mechanisms. don't make the facile
mistake of thinking that this only obtains outside of the 'Thelemic'
cult, either. the hierarchies of Thelema rest atop firm self-Slavery.
