I would like it if someone would be kind enough to offer their
evaluation of the work of Fr. Eschelmann mentioned above and
whether it conforms with the ideas the reviewer has of the AA
of their acquaintance (preferrably helpfully specified).

I have the book in question. I bought it last year through Amazon.
I find it to be a good suppliment. It is well written and extensively illustrated. It is laid out in a logical and easy to follow format. It does seem to conform to the general ideas one has gathered about the A.'.A.'. in that it makes an effort to be a part of a "traditional" pattern of ideas rather than trying to "break the mold"
...However, I wouldn't describe it as "grounbreaking" as all of these ideas have been covered elsewhere. Over this work, I would recommend "Gems From the Equinox"
