will be a special plaque for the entry that best meets the fair
theme of: “Cowboy Boots and Country Roots”.
have your entry included: Put a short note on your entry form and/or
your bottle labels, of why your entry meets the theme.
we have grown so much (170 entries last year) we need more time for judging.
Intake is now one week earlier. I expect to need additional judging sessions
and will schedule them as we get closer to fair time.
the Fairgrounds will not be sending out the letter asking you to judge and you
no longer have to fill out the paperwork in advance. and send it by snail
mail. I will be contacting people about judging as we get closer to the
registration is strongly encouraged and I convinced the fair management to
eliminate the conveneince fee. You can register on-line until
Wednesday the 14th. When you drop off preregistered entries,
put a copy of your receipt in with the bottles so I can match it up.
Entry fee is $5. It is now priced similarly to, but still less expensive than,
the other nearby county fairs.

On-Line Registration: Wednesday
August 14 at 11:59 pm. On-Line Registration is encouraged! There is
no convenience fee for On-Line registration!!

Want to Be a Beer
Central Coast Zymurgeeks are scheduling a pair of basic judge training sessions
during their July and August meetings. The objective is to learn enough to
be an Apprentice-level judge and to start getting you ready to take the
BJCP certification exam.
sessions are free to Zymurgeeks members and a nominal fee to non-members but
pre-registration is required.
