Hello Carol Upton sends the following:
Greetings, fine writers' groups and associations,
Just a friendly reminder that THIS Magazine's Great Canadian Literary Hunt
is heating up. The deadline isn't until July 1, 2004, but we figured that
some creative juices take longer to flow. Please this information about
this excellent contest, with its lucrative prize and fantastic celebrity
judges, on to your group members and any other writers you know. Thanks!
THE GREAT CANADIAN LITERARY HUNT IS ON!
Sponsored by THIS Magazine
THIS Magazine is happy to announce open season on poetry and short
fiction with its eighth annual "Great Canadian Literary Hunt."
Preparations are well under way for this year's contest: we're
currently tracking-down our celebrity judges and we're lying in wait
for the stampede of submissions. Last year's contest drew more than
800 entries and, with the big prize money ($1000), the eighth
annual GCLH promises to be more competitive, diverse, vibrant and
meaty than any of the previous seven. Past winners have gone on to
win honours at the National
Magazine Awards and the Journey Prize, they've been published by the
top houses in the country and they're among the hottest writers in
fiction and poetry today. You can also be sure that those winning
entries have been selected by critically acclaimed judges including
Griffin Prize-winning Christian Bök, Lynn Crosbie, Andrew Pyper and
Rajinderpal S Pal. If you want up-to-the-minute contest info, if
you'd like to
order copies of previous GCLH issues or if you're just interested in
