The all-morning class to be taught by the Green Gardens Group of Los Angeles is sponsored by the Surfrider Foundation and city of Ventura.
The class will help homeowners learn how to prevent stormwater pollution, which comes from residential and other developed sites, from reaching the ocean.
Cost of the class is $25 for the class and Ocean Friendly Garden how-to book, or $15 for just the class. Refreshments and a complementary breakfast will be served.
The class will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the city of Ventura maintenance yard, 336 Sanjon Road.
