I've looked closer at the old locomotive I'm restoring. The screws are
12-27 and are rather mangled. The tapped holes in the iron frame pieces
are 12-26, so I'm in luck. I've turned practice pieces in brass and
they fit pretty nicely. Now I'll do some in steel with cheese heads and
they should look good as original.
