Can you remove the wireless receiver, then insert the Softrock.
Is it then recognised?
Then replace the wireless receiver.

I get the same with a weather station, as well as my Logitech wireless
Some do not have any trouble. It seems to depend on the exact configuration.
I do not think there is a universal cure-all.
