Subject: [softrock40] SR-2 noise floor results

I have a 30M SR-2 for IF - it's using a 14.060 crystal and the intended
IF service range is around 10.55 Mhz.
The SR2 is the standard version with the only optimizations being the
manual adjustment of the L/C network using an LC meter - the network is
within about 5% of what I estimate the ideal values at 10.5mhz should be.
And in front of the SR2 is a Clifton Labratories z10000 buffer/amp with
a gain of 14db.
Other equipment in the chain: Infrasonic Quartet sound card @ 96khz
sample. PowerSDR v1.19.
Feeding a -73dbm signal from an XG2 at 10.545 mhz, the post-calibration
floor is about -129dbm.
Without the z10000 amp, the noise floor is around -105dbm to -110dbm.
Wondered if any of the group had done some noise floor testing so we
could compare notes???
