I just realize that the deadline for submitting an abstract for the Qigong
Summit 2000 (April 21-23, Washington DC) is February 8, 2000. If you have
some preliminary finding(s) in your research, or you are planning a
research for the next two months, and would like to present your data to
the public, especially to the congress or NIH officials, this may be a good
opportunity to do it. Attached is the MS-Word format call for abstract.

Following are from original call for abstract:
You are invited to participate in the Qigong Summit 2000 and the Third
American Qigong Association Conference. Please submit your program
proposals as follows:
Qigong Summit 2000 is calling for abstracts of papers and demonstrations
dealing with effective styles of medical Qigong or energy healing systems
in the five following tracts: 1) Client-centered Experiences; 2) Scientific
Research; 3) Demonstration/Experiential for All Ages and Conditions; 4) The
Integration of Qigong into mainstream life and health systems:
Administration/Policy Decision Making/Funding; and 5) Qigong Activities
Existing in the System. We encourage submissions that emphasize any of the
following, or another related topic in your area of expertise:
Integration of Qigong into Daily Life, Western & Complementary Alternative
Submit the following all at one time by Feb. 8, 2000 for each presentation
that you wish to make:
1) Abstract can be half page long (see format below) 2) a 4-line
description of presentation not to exceed 55 words, 3) outline of
presentation with the time requested, 4) full resume, 5) a short 55-word or
4-line biography, and 6) a 5" x 7" black & white photograph. Note: Items 1
through 5 should be submitted on both IBM Compatible diskette and four hard
Format of submission:
Abstracts must be typed on plain white paper within an area that is 4 1/2"
horizontal by 7 1/2" vertical. Within this space, please type:
· The title of the paper on the first line. CAPITALIZE the entire title.
· On the next line, continue with family name(s) and initial (no
punctuation) of the author(s), starting with the presenting author. Do not
include degrees after any names.
· Type in the speaker's organization in full including city, state and
country. Do not include zip code.
· Leave one line blank before the main text. Single-space all text.
Standard abbreviations are acceptable.
